ICYMI: Closures, Trash Collection Information for Memorial Day in Bordentown

BORDENTOWN, NJ — Memorial Day is a holiday honoring the men and women who died while serving in the United States military. Memorial Day, which is observed on the last Monday of May, occurs this year on Monday, May 27.

Memorial Day is a State and Federal holiday, so all State and Federal Offices will be closed, including the U.S. Post Office. The Bordentown Township and Bordentown City municipal buildings will also be closed.

Trash will not be collected in Bordentown City on Monday.

In Bordentown Township, all trash collection will be delayed by one day on the week of May 27: Zone 1 with normal Tuesday trash pick-up will be moved to Wednesday; Zone 2 with normal Wednesday pick-up will be moved to Thursday; and Zone 3 with normal Thursday garbage collection will be moved to Friday.

Bulk Trash Collection for Zones 2 and 3 will also be canceled on May 27 and will be rescheduled for Friday, May 31.

The Bordentown Branch of the Burlington County Library System, located at 18 E. Union Street in Bordentown City, will be closed on Saturday, May 25 and Monday, May 27. The Library is not open on Sundays.
