Ptl. Sparano was among 24 graduates who successfully completed 21 weeks of intense preparation, which included training in firearms, vehicle pursuit, hostage negotiation, use of force, advanced crime scene processing and domestic violence prevention.

"The new officers completed their training with utmost integrity and an extensive commitment to public safety, setting a shining example for all."

"On behalf of the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, we applaud their graduation and wish them the most tremendous success and safety for all the years to come," Kemler continued. "We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families and friends of these officers for their unwavering support during the training period."
