    Putnam Arts Council Seeks Smartphone Images for September Exhibit

    Mahopac, N.Y – The Putnam Arts Council is inviting smartphone photographers to showcase their talents next month with an exhibition dedicated to cellphone images. Set to run from Sept. 14-29 at the A. Eric Arctander Gallery in Mahopac, the show is open to cellphone photographers age 13 and up.

    Entitled "Exploring Life Through Your Smartphone Lens" the exhibition will celebrate "the power of mobile photography," organizers said. Artists of all levels—from professionals to hobbyists—are invited to submit images ranging from "breathtaking landscapes to candid moments" that showcase "the diversity and artistry of smartphone photography."

    “We believe that everyone has a unique perspective to offer,” said Carlos Passi, head of the Gallery Committee at the Putnam Arts Council. “With smartphones becoming increasingly sophisticated, the possibilities for capturing stunning images are endless. We can’t wait to see what the community brings to this exhibition.”

    Eligibility: Open to all artists aged 13 and up. All submitted works must be taken exclusively with a smartphone and be ready to hang.

    Submission Details: Artists may submit up to three pieces for a fee of $25 for PAC members or $30 for non-members. Submissions will be accepted on Saturday, Sept. 7, or Sunday, Sept. 8, from 2-5 p.m. at the A. Eric Arctander Gallery, 521 Kennicut Hill Road, in Mahopac.

    Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will run from Sept. 14 to 29. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept, 14, from 2 - 5 p.m.
