    Flooding Reported in Morristown Area

    MORRISTOWN, NJ — The thunderstorms and heavy rain produced flooding Sunday night. There were reports of flooded streets and closed roads overnight. The Morristown area, according to the JCP&L outage map, is reporting no power outages as of Monday morning.

    JCP&L is reporting just under 3,000 customers are without power. The outage map shows most outages are West of Randolph. However, Madison is reporting a borough-wide power outage.

    The National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of showers and thunderstorms today after 4pm. The chance of precipitation is 60% with new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms, said the NWS.

    Tonight there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, according to the NWS.
