    Woman Charged After Attack on Student at North Salem School

    NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - A New Rochelle woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly kicking a student at the Westchester Exceptional Childrens School in North Salem earlier this month.

    On Aug. 2, the victim’s mother filed a report of the alleged abuse, and the ensuing investigation found that Carmen M. Santiago Osorio, 60, had kicked the child who is under the age of 13.

    Santiago Osorio was arrested on Aug. 8 and charged with Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent of Physically Disabled Person in the 1st degree, a class E felony.

    Santiago Osorio was arraigned before the Town of North Salem Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on Sept. 9.
