Paramus Proposing Purchase of New Fire Truck as Part of $8.9M Expenditure

PARAMUS, NJ - The borough is proposing an $8.9 million bond ordinance to obtain a new fire engine and new vehicles, among other items.

The council is holding a public hearing on the matter on August 21 at 6 p.m. at Borough Hall, 1 Jockish Square.

The bond ordinance is for the purpose of "making various public improvements," which includes the fire truck and vehicles in addition to new and replacement equipment, and new information technology equipment.

Grants are part of the proposed expenditure total, according to the item on the council's agenda.
