Sickle cell disease is a group of inherited red blood cell disorders that cause abnormal hemoglobin production, the protein that carries oxygen through the body. It causes red blood cells to become rigid and sickle-shaped. These sickle cells can block blood flow, leading to pain, organ damage, and other serious complications.

The presentation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Vauxhall Branch Library, 123 Hilton Avenue, Vauxhall.  To register, click HERE .
