Local Author, Meredith Rusu, to Launch New Book and Appear at Morristown Festival of Books

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — After the success of her debut picture book, There’s a Yeti in My Tummy , local author Meredith Rusu is excited to announce the release of her next book in the Mighty Moods series, There’s a Robot in My Socks . Scheduled to hit the shelves on September 17th, this new book promises to capture the imagination of young readers and their families.

There’s a Robot in My Socks follows Jamie, a young girl with a robot in her socks who helps her manage her daily routines. However, when a trip to Grandma's house disrupts Jamie's schedule, her trusty robot starts to act up. The book’s catchy rhymes and lively illustrations aim to help children understand and cope with changes in their routines, making it a perfect read-aloud for kids, parents, and grandparents alike.

Meredith Rusu will be showcasing There’s a Robot in My Socks at the Morristown Festival of Books on October 19th as part of the KidFest event. The festival, known for featuring prominent authors, will feature Rusu alongside celebrated authors like Sophie Blackall and Tracey West. This appearance is a fantastic opportunity for local book lovers to meet the author and learn more about her.

In addition to the Morristown Festival, Meredith Rusu will also be participating in the Creative Women’s Showcase on Friday, November 1st at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster.
