MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Town of Morristown is looking to hire a Part-Time Public Health Nurse.

The position is part-time.

The experienced individual would be responsible for conducting communicable disease investigations, immunization audits for schools/daycares, home visits (nursing home, welfare check, etc.), and blood pressure checks for seniors, administer vaccines and will be required to maintain medical records and files and must have knowledge of CDRSS and NJIIS.

Candidate must possess:

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook

At least one (1) year of experience in a public health field or, nursing experience gained while working under the close supervision of a licensed public health nurse.

Note: nursing experience in a public health field may include experience with volunteer work, community service, or employment with a Visiting Nurse Association, hospital or other community-based public health partner agency, organization or health department that provides direct public health services to the population or, that contracts such services to local health departments.

A bachelor’s degree in nursing or public health nursing science, a NJ State Board of Nursing License, and a valid NJ driver’s license is required and will be required to complete a course in population-based public health nursing within (1) year of appointment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

20-25 Hours /per week (9am-2pm, M-F)$40-$60/hour. EOE.
