23-Year-Old Mount Laurel Man, Former Camp Counselor, Charged With Child Porn Possession

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — A 23-year-old Mount Laurel man who previously worked as a camp counselor was arrested and charged on Wednesday with possession of child pornography, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw and Mount Laurel Police Chief Timothy Hudnall announced.

Robert Nault was taken into custody during the execution of a search warrant at his home in Mount Laurel and was charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, or CSAM (Third Degree). He was released following a first appearance in Superior Court in Mount Holly.

The investigation into Nault started after the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's (BCPO) High-Tech Crimes Unit got information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding his online activity. Law enforcement found that Nault allegedly accessed links to images and videos containing CSAM and downloaded files to his online storage system.

Police seized electronic devices from Nault's home during the execution of Wednesday's search warrant, which will be examined by BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit investigators.

Nault has previously worked as a summer counselor at Camp Ockanickon for Boys, an overnight camp, and the School's Out Program, both of which are based out of Medford and are run by the YMCA of the Pines, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

While Nault has not been accused of any crimes related to inappropriate physical contact with minors, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office is asking the public to send any information concerning potentially illegal activities involving the defendant to the Prosecutor's Office at tips@co.burlington.nj.us , the Mount Laurel Police Department at Tips@mountlaurelpd.org or the Medford Township Police Department at Info@medfordpolice.org .

The case will now be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.

The investigation into Nault was conducted by the BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Mount Laurel Police Department and United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office. The lead investigator is BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit Detective Tiffany Lenart.
