STAFFORD - On July 24, 2024, Stafford Township Patrolman Theodore Caporrino spotted a Kawasaki motorcycle with a fake license plate on East Bay Avenue. When he tried to pull the rider over, the driver fled at a high speed. After an investigation, police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Emmanuel Grau of Union, NJ.

A warrant was issued for Grau on charges of second-degree eluding. On August 19, Patrolman Caporrino found Grau hiding in a residence on Division Street in Manahawkin. Officers arrested him and discovered the stolen Kawasaki motorcycle on the property. The bike, previously stolen from Egg Harbor Township, was impounded.
