    Livingston Health Department Invites Residents to Join 2024 Fall Walking Club

    WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Livingston Health Department (LHD) will offer a free Walking Club this fall, meeting every Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the South Mountain Recreation Complex located 9 Cherry Lane located in West Orange, from Sept. 20 through Nov. 8.

    The Walking Club is free and open to adults over the age of 18. Participants will meet in the free public parking lot at McLoone’s Boathouse. The walk is 1.75 miles around the reservoir, which should take about one hour.

    According to the LHD, walking is a great way to get some exercise and offers many health benefits, such as helping to maintain a healthy weight, reducing joint pain, improving balance, lowering the risk of high blood pressure and more.
