    Chatham High Student Kumar Continues to Give Back by Donating Proceeds of his Book to the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce

    CHATHAM, NJ -- Aryan Kumar learned much about Chatham businesses and how they survived the pandemic when he wrote his paperback book Main Street During Covid: A Chatham Story.

    Kumar, now entering his senior year at Chatham High, spent a year interviewing local business owners and writing about their struggles in the 67-page historical non-fiction book . On Friday, he gave back again, presenting the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce with a check that represented the proceeds from his book.

    "This organization, learning about it, especially during the Covid times, is admirable and speaks to the community of Chatham overall, sticking together in a business sense and keeping the economy going, even in tough times," Kumar said.

    More writing is "definitely' on the horizon for Kumar, who said he is researching other topics about Chatham.

    "If I can do a little bit with the library, which is currently in the works, that would be great," Kumar said. "I also do have a podcast I've been running 'Unheard of...' since January .
