Senator Harckham Delivers Naloxone Kits to Somers First Responders

SOMERS, N.Y. - On Wednesday, Aug. 21, New York State Senator Pete Harckham delivered 96 emergency naloxone kits to members of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps.

Naloxone is a medicine that allows first responders to quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

Somers Volunteer Fire Department First Assistant Chief Greg Wahlers and EMS Captain Brendan Porteus were on hand to accept the delivery of the life-saving medication.
