Hamilton Man Struck, Killed While Walking Dog

HAMILTON, NJ - A 63-year-old Hamilton man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday.

The victim, Mohamed Ahmed, was walking his dog at the time of the incident and appears to have attempted to cross the road mid-block.

While crossing, he was struck by a minivan being driven by Charles Cavallo, Trenton, who was traveling westbound on Hamilton Ave. In the area of Donald Drive.

Based on the initial investigation, the Hamilton Police Division reported, the vehicle that struck Ahmed had passed through a green light. Speed does not appear to be a factor, the report says.
