Cub Scouts Host Raingutter Regatta in East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - There was some crazy boating happening this month in Great Oak Park, where the Cub Scouts of Pack 223 led a community-wide "Raingutter Regatta" event.   The Raingutter Regatta is a well-loved Cub Scouting activity.  Participants built sailboats and used straws to provide wind-power and race the boat through a water-filled raingutter.

The scouts had an opportunity to meet with other local children and teach the art of boat-building while parents had an opportunity to gather information about scouting.

Cub Scouts Pack 223 is open to boys and girls in grades K-5, and children in grades 6 and up can join Scout Troop 223.
