    Renaissance Faire Coming to Doylestown’s Tileworks on Labor Day Weekend

    Doylestown is hosting a Renaissance Faire over Labor Day weekend at the Tileworks.

    DOYLESTOWN, PA—Doylestown welcomes its first Renaissance Faire in recent memory to the Tileworks over Labor Day weekend, bringing live performances, music, demonstrations and vendors specializing in all things medieval.

    The festival, which will run from Aug. 31 through Sept. 2, goes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Performers will include a Celtic magician, singers and poets, a belly dancer, a juggler, sword fighters and a strongwoman.

    Demonstrations will offer attendees lessons in archery, axe throwing, dagger tossing, tile making, metal smithing and using a whip. There will also be horse-drawn wagon rides and tours of the Tileworks.

    More than 60 vendors will be selling clothing, jewelry and a wide range of medieval merchandise. Food and drink for sale will include turkey legs and barbecue and beer and mead.

    Doylestown’s Renaissance Faire is part of a series that is holding a similar event in Townsend, Del., in October and November of this year.

    Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Children four and under attend for free. (Tickets can be purchased online.) Parking is free.
