PHILLIPSBURG, NJ —As the days are shorter and the fall air arrives, the Phillipsburg Chamber of Commerce has conjured up not one but two spine-tingling events for the community this Halloween.
Proceed if you dare, for one event is a beloved tradition, while the other is a classic fright in the downtown. Don’t be scared, stop by and enjoy an old-fashioned movie in the park.
Halloween weekend, the Phillipsburg Chamber of Commerce beckons all local brave souls to a FREE screening of the eerie classic, “The Night of the Living Dead .” Join them in Shappell Park on Friday, October 25th at 7 p.m. for a night where the veil between the living and the dead grows thin. This ghastly gathering kicks off the Halloween Weekend festivities, leading up to the legendary 42nd Annual Easton Phillipsburg Halloween Parade.
Bring your chairs, blankets, and your most fearless friends and family for a night of live music, food trucks, and frightful fun at Spooky Movie Night in Shappell Park. Delights and refreshments will be available for purchase—if you dare to take a bite!

42nd Annual Easton Phillipsburg Halloween Parade
For 42 haunting years, the Easton Phillipsburg Halloween Parade has drawn the living from near and far. This event joins the twin cities of Phillipsburg and Easton as they come alive with bands, entertainers, ghastly floats, and some pretty creative local businesses.
The parade will rise from the depths of McKeen Street in Phillipsburg at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 27th, winding its way down South Main Street and across the Northampton Street Bridge before reaching its final destination at Centre Square Easton.
Whether you plan to spectate from the shadows, conjure up a float to compete for a cash prize, or become a sponsor of this wickedly wonderful community tradition, this is one event you shouldn’t escape. Miss it if you dare, but if you’re curious, catch a glimpse of last year's eerie extravaganza.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available—for those brave enough to seize them , contact the Phillipsburg Chamber, or the TAPinto events for more information.
