    Robbinsville Council Approves Purchases of Vehicles, Gear to Keep Community Safe

    ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - The Robbinsville Township Council has authorized $275,683.34 in spending to outfit both the Robbinsville Police Department and the Robbinsville Fire Department with vehicles, equipment, and gear their chiefs have deemed necessary to help keep the community safe.

    In one resolution, the purchase of two 2024 Ford Expedition XL 4x4 with emergency equipment upfitting was authorized from Ciocca Ford of Flemington. The new vehicles will replace to “high mileage police vehicles” and come with a total price tag of $137,542.44.

    The Council also approved a resolution authorizing the purchase of radio equipment at a cost of $3,038.20 from a Metuchen based supplier and “related systems” from Motorola Solutions at an amount not to exceed $86,438,20.

    Finally, a third resolution approved a request from the Robbinsville Fire Department to purchase turnout gear, including jackets, pants, and boots for use by firefighters. The $51,702.70 sale went to Skylands Area Fire Equipment & Training LLC, based in Riverdale.
