Spotswood PTA to Welcome Students Back with Annual Ice Cream Socials

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Spotswood School District students return to classes on Thursday, September 5. Once again, the Spotswood PTA is welcoming the district's youngest students back-to-school by hosting ice cream socials at the Schoenly and Appleby Schools. The ice cream socials started as a way for parents and kids to meet their new classmates, teachers and principals. This family-friendly event is always a big draw and a huge hit.

The Spotswood PTA is hosting the Schoenly School's Ice Cream Social on Friday, September 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the school's multipurpose room. It's the Appleby School's turn on Friday, September 13 at 6 p.m.

In 2023, the Spotswood PTA received the Exceptional Local Unit Award at the New Jersey PTA Convention Awards. Volunteers for the Spotswood PTA support the Schoenly, Appleby and Memorial Middle School with special in-school activities, family-friendly events like bingo, book sales, holiday shops, plant sales, assemblies and more.
