Michigan Deli Athletes of the Week: Dilan Jacqueney and Christopher Giorella

KENILWORTH, NJ – Dilan Jacqueney and Christopher Giorella have been named this week’s Athletes of the Week.

Dilan is going to be a sixth-grader at Harding Elementary and is currently an all-star cheerleader at Central Jersey All-Stars in Kenilworth and has been an All-Star Cheerleader for over eight years. She will also be playing flag football this year. Next to competitive cheerleading and football, she loves to play volleyball. This past season as an All-Star Cheerleader was one for the record books for Dilan. Her team, CJA Bombsquad, travels all over the country, and won the D1 Summit in the division, ranking #1 in the US. Dilan's other hobbies include cooking, painting, and hanging out with her friends. She loves Stranger Things, Outerbanks, Marvel Movies, and going to Jets Games.

Christopher is going into fifth grade at Harding elementary school and plays baseball, soccer and basketball. He has been playing baseball since he was four, soccer since he was six and basketball since he was seven. Christopher is currently playing fall Twin Boro baseball and SCP Team Thunder soccer. His best memory for baseball was going 3 for 4 in the spring 11U USABL championship game which his team won and his best memory for soccer was playing with SCP Team Thunder at the Hershey cup tournament. Chris's other hobbies include playing golf and hanging out with his friends.
