Bailey was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds by the Camden County Police Department on November 28, 2021, at 10:32 p.m., lying in a parking lot area outside an apartment building near the 1000 block of Lois Avenue. CCPD had been alerted to 10 shots fired in the area by its ShotSpotter technology.

The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:57 p.m.

"During the investigation, detectives obtained surveillance video footage that captured the homicide," according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. "The video captured Funari exiting a black Ford F-150 truck parked across the street, approaching the victim, and shooting him multiple times. Funari then returned to the truck and fled. Detectives tracked the truck on video to and from the crime scene."
