MVC Mobile Unit Coming to Mt. Laurel Next Week for Drivers to Obtain REAL ID Licenses

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) Mobile Unit will be in Mount Laurel next week to assist drivers in signing up for their REAL ID driver's licenses mandated under federal law.

The MVC Mobile Unit will be at the Mount Laurel Community Center located at 100 Mount Laurel Road on Tuesday, September 3.

Starting on May 7, 2025, a federal requirement mandates REAL ID documentation for state-issued driver's licenses and non-driver IDs to fly within the United States, unless you use a U.S. passport or another federally approved form of identification.

In order to obtain a REAL ID, drivers must have documentation worth six "points." Those documents include items such as a social security card, proof of residential address, and other items. A list of acceptable documents and their point values can be found HERE.
