Edison Council Approves Salary Maximum Increases for Three Department Heads

EDISON, NJ - The township council has approved an ordinance to increase the maximum salary range for three department heads. The council unanimously approved the ordinance at their regular meeting on Wednesday.

The maximum salary for the business administrator will increase from $230,000 to $236,900, the maximum salary for the Director of Water and Sewer will increase from $195,000 to $197,000, and the maximum salary for the Director of Public Works will increase from $195,000 to $197,000.

According to the ordinance, the maximum salary increase is to adjust for the cost of living. Earlier this year, the council passed a similar ordinance for other department officials. The remaining employees in the township negotiate salary ranges through collective bargaining, according to the council.
