Livingston High School Class of 1994 to Host 30th Reunion at Lithos Estiatorio in November

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston High School (LHS) alumni from the Class of 1994 are invited to join their former classmates in celebrating the 30 ^th anniversary of their graduation at Lithos Estiatorio restaurant in Livingston on Nov. 21 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The 30 ^th reunion comes nearly one year after alumnus Michael Shapiro posted in the LHS Class of 1994 Facebook group to garner interest in such an event and to recruit fellow graduates to assist in its organization. Since then, the Class of '94 Reunion Committee — which includes Shapiro as its chair along with members Mickey Crawford, Brenda Paredes, Marisa Ollins, Dawanna Hart and Shanna Young — has been hard at work to put together an unforgettable evening for the more than 450 graduates of their class.

“I immediately thought, ‘No way, I already see several classmates around town,’” said Crawford, who still resides in Livingston today. “Then I thought about how I missed out on the 20 ^th reunion and how there are so many people I’d like to reconnect with.”

Crawford said the reunion committee “immediately got to work by putting out a survey to gauge who would attend and a timeframe to have the reunion.”

“Within a few weeks, we had our first meeting to get the planning underway,” she said. “After many weeks of brainstorming, careful consideration was put into choosing the date, location, and best venue to satisfy as many people as possible in the most cost-effective way.”

Although those who have already purchased tickets are looking forward to the event, Crawford said one of the biggest challenges the committee has encountered is getting the reunion information out to as many classmates as possible.

“Although we have posted reunion information to our LHS Class of 1994 Facebook group, there are many classmates either not on Facebook or not in the group, so it is imperative that we let fellow classmates know,” she said. “The committee is excited to see everyone and to have the best 30 ^th reunion.”

All members of the graduating class (plus one additional guest per classmate) are invited to attend this event, which includes appetizers, dinner and dessert as well as unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks for an early-bird fee of $125 per person through Sept. 1 or $145 per person after Sept. 1 until sold out. All tickets must be purchased in advance, as the restaurant will not be able to accommodate walk-ins.
