Belmar’s 48th Annual 5 Mile Run to Take Over Oceanfront This Saturday

BELMAR, NJ - The 48th Annual Belmar 5 Mile Run is set to make waves this Saturday, August 31, 2024, with a start time of 8:00 AM. Hosted by the Goodwill Hose Co., the Borough of Belmar, and the Jersey Shore Running Club , this event will showcase the scenic Belmar oceanfront and local streets while raising funds for the Goodwill Hose Co. As one of New Jersey’s largest road races, the event anticipates over 2,500 participants.

Residents and spectators should be aware of significant traffic disruptions, as Ocean Avenue will be closed along its entire length, with additional street closures impacting Belmar from E Street east to Ocean Avenue. Runners are encouraged to arrive early to navigate the affected areas. The race will be followed by an after-party at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, offering a festive conclusion to the day’s events.
