    Morristown Football Defeats Paterson-Eastside in Season Opener

    MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown High School football team opened the season with a dominating 36-7 home victory over Paterson Eastside on Friday night.
    The Colonials outscored Eastside 21-0 in the second half after leading 15-7 at halftime. Quarterback Weston Elms was efficient with three passing touchdowns, including an 80-yarder to Jasiah Brown and a 65-yarder to Jeremiah Moreau.
    Elms connected with Jahaziel Torres on an 8-yard TD in the first quarter to put Morristown ahead 8-0 following a successful two-point conversion.
    The Colonials got it done on the ground as well. Reed Donegan scored on a 19-yard run and Kenneth Sharperson found the end zone on a 50-yard rush.

    The Colonials will travel to take on Randolph on Friday September 6. Game time is 7pm.
