    New Brunswick Police Investigating After Report of Shots Fired Near Comstock St., Jones Ave.

    NEW BRUNSWICK – The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating a report of gunshots on Friday near Comstock Street and Jones Avenue.

    The gunshots were reportedly to have occurred at about 11:40 a.m., according to a safety alert from the Rutgers University Police Department.

    There were no reports of injuries, police said.

    Rutgers police say they have increased patrols in the area.

    The New Brunswick Police Department asks anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact its detective bureau at 732-745-5217.

    When will the great governor actually step up and do something about guns in NJ. You know, like a stiffer penalty for a person who is caught with a firearm without the proper permit. Longer prison time when a gun is used in a crime. Anything Murphy ? or do we just talk about it and blame Donald J Trump.
