Rahway's Roosevelt Elementary School Welcomes New Principal, Dr. Leslie Septor

RAHWAY, NJ — With a new school year right around the corner, Roosevelt Elementary School is gearing up for another jam-packed year of educational experiences, memories, and fun. Bulletin boards are decorated in fresh, vibrant colors, classrooms are meticulously set and ready to go, and our sparkling hallways await the arrival of the pitter-patter of little feet and the laughter of smiling children.

What else is new, you may ask? Roosevelt is excited to welcome twenty-one new staff members, including our new principal, Dr. Leslie Septor. Dr. Septor joins the Roosevelt family with a wealth of knowledge as a former supervisor of literacy and middle school ELA teacher.

To kick off the new school year, Dr. Septor hosted two special events this summer for staff and students to meet, mingle, and enjoy some tasty treats.

Staff members gathered at the popular Il Forno a Legna in downtown Rahway, where they enjoyed pizza, exchanged summer vacation stories, and discussed the year ahead.

Meanwhile, students and families enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with popsicles on the playground. They drew pictures, wrote messages of positivity, blew bubbles, and let loose on the jungle gym.

Both events were a huge success, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
