UNION, NJ - Union High School opened its doors to the incoming Class of 2028 for their annual Freshman Orientation program on Thursday.  Organized by the Union High School Counseling Department, students were able to attend various sessions related to different topics.

"The overall goal for the day is to introduce the incoming 9th graders to the building, its resources and opportunities, including academics, student supports,  extracurricular programs, and school systems and procedures,” said Nicole Ahern, Supervisor of Counseling.

With a welcome from building leadership, Superintendent Dr. Gerald Benaquista, school counselors and upperclassmen peer leaders, the students were connected with many individuals who could provide valuable information and answer their questions. A snack bag provided by the Union High School PTA and a final parent information session with the vice principals, Athletic Department, and school counseling rounded out the event. “Welcome Class of 2028!,” said Ahern.
