While You Were Sleeping: Four Suspects Arrested in Connection to Totowa Vehicle Burglaries

TOTOWA, NJ - While most were asleep, the Totowa Police were busy arrested four suspects  at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Sunday in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in the Lookout Point Trail area, the Department announced.

According to a statement,  the arrests followed an investigation into reports of break-ins to motor vehicles in the neighborhood.

During a search of the area, police observed an individual on foot, who was promptly detained and subsequently arrested. Shortly after the first arrest, other patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop, resulting in the apprehension of three additional suspects.

All four adults were charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, theft, and criminal trespass. Their vehicle was impounded as part of the investigation. The suspects were released pending their court appearance.
