Football: Colonia Routs North Hunterdon, 35-7

ANNANDALE, NJ — Dylan Chiera passed for three touchdowns and Colonia scored two touchdowns on returns in its 35-7 football victory over North Hunterdon on Friday night.

North Hunterdon (0-2) had an early 7-0 lead before Colonia (2-0) tied it on Chiera's 24-yard TD pass to Rynal Wortman and Anthony Garofalo's extra point kick.

With nine minutes left in the second quarter, Chiera completed a 16-yard scoring pass to Yisrael Custudio to break the tie.

Kyle Bell returned a punt 85 yards for a TD early in the third quarter. With a minute left in the third quarter, Chiera connected with Wortman on a 25-yard TD pass.

Julien Jones returned an interception 24 yards for a score late in the third period.

Colonia will play at Linden on Saturday, Sept. 14.
