Boys High School Soccer Recap: North Hunterdon Wins at Phillipsburg

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - North Hunterdon pulled away from a 1-0 halftime lead with the first three goals of the second half to defeat Phillipsburg High School, 4-2, in a Skyland Conference cross-division contest on Saturday at The Phillipsburg Sports Complex.

Doug Metcalf scored in the fifth minute for the Lions (2-0 overall) with the assist going to Bryce Readie. Readie, Luke McDonald and Adam Wade added goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.

Senior midfielder Evan James scored his second goal of the season for the Stateliners (1-1) and classmate Omar Ramires notched his first with assists going to Wayne Maresch and Aidan Neyra.

Justin Crismale made three saves for the Lions while Neyra, Pburg’s goaltender, stopped seven shots.
