7th Annual 'Paddle the Peninsula' Kayak Event Set for Saturday

BAYONNE, NJ - Mayor Jimmy Davis and the City of Bayonne will host the 7th Annual Paddle the Peninsula Kayak event on Saturday, September 14. The boat launch is located on Newark Bay, west of Avenue A, and below the end of West 16th Street.

Davis reflected that the event in the past has been an enjoyable experience for all participants, allowing people to enjoy recreation on Newark Bay.

Kayakers must be at least 12 years of age and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The event will feature float-arounds on Newark Bay for 45-minute trips, with safety briefings will take place fifteen minutes to the start of each trip.

Participants may either bring their own kayaks or sign up to use ones provided at the event.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
