CLARK, NJ — While both teams have enjoyed decent seasons so far, Tuesday was not the best day ever for the Johnson boys (3-1) and girls varsity soccer teams, both of whom lost on their home fields. The boys fell to Linden, 4-2. The girls lost to Brearley, 4-0.

The girls team started its season with a tie and two wins before losing the last two. In the game against Brearley yesterday, junior Suzie Pires had seven saves.

The boys team started the season winning three in a row, defeating Union Catholic, Roselle Catholic, and Oratory Prep, prior to Tuesday's loss.

In the Linden game, senior Julian Ramos and junior Adam Stefanelli each scored once, while sophomore Matty Ortega had an assist.

The boys next play Governor Livingston, at home,  on Thursday, September 19, at 4 p.m.

The girls play Cranford, away, on Thursday, September 19, at 4 p.m.
