    Knolls wins fifth in row in Girls Soccer

    DENVILLE, NJ – Junior Maggie Krasnomowitz and senior Charlee Perna each scored twice to lead the Morris Knolls High School girls soccer team to its fifth straight victory, a 6-2 decision over Chatham Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Knolls.

    Sophomore Michaela Anderson and junior Alexa Grazioli each scored once as Knolls finished the game with a season-high six goals.

    Senior Giana Mikula added two assists and junior Julianna Critchley, senior Kaitlyn Forand, junior Maria Tzoumas, and Krasnomowitz each added one assist.

    Junior Tariyana Sango was the winning goalie, stopping eight of the 10 shots on net that she faced.

    The Lady Eagles, who have not lost a game since their opening-day 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chatham, have scored 16 goals while allowing seven during their five-game winning streak.

    The victory also improves the 5-1 Eagles to 3-1 in the North Jersey Athletic Conference’s American Division, tied with Sparta (4-1, 3-1) for second place, a half-game behind unbeaten Randolph (5-0, 3-0).

    Knolls and Randolph square off on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Randolph in a game that is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
