NEW BRUNSWICK – Police are investigating after an 18-year-old New Brunswick resident was treated for a gunshot wound following an argument with a group of people near Harvey and Somerset streets.

Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred outside Monday at about 7:18 p.m., according to a statement from the New Brunswick Police Department.

Police said the victim suffered injuries that were not life threatening and was treated at an area hospital.

The investigation is active and ongoing, and anyone with information can call the police at 732-745-5200.
