LONG BRANCH, NJ — Long Branch hosted its first Uptown Broadway fest this past weekend.

“Long Branch is fortunate to be so rich in culture and Upper Broadway is a true microcosm of that diversity,” Mayor John Pallone said in a news release before the event. “We can take a culinary trip around the world, without leaving Broadway.”

As part of the event, visitors were encouraged to travel around and get “passports” stamped by local businesses to get a free gift.

“It is exciting to have all these amazing businesses come together to bring our community a taste of all that Upper Broadway has to offer,” Councilmember Mario Vieira said in a news release before the event.

The festival falls during Hispanic Heritage Month, which is being celebrated during September at the Long Branch Arts & Cultural Center.
