    Veterans to be Honored at Appreciation Dinner Hosted by Feeding Our Heroes, Sen. Singleton

    DELRAN, NJ – Burlington County veterans who served and sacrificed will be honored at an upcoming dinner hosted by Feeding our Heroes and State Senator Troy Singleton (D-Burlington County.)

    “Honoring and recognizing our veterans is not just about praising them on  Veterans Day, but also about keeping them in the forefront of our thoughts every day,” said Singleton. “For that reason, I am proud to partner with Feeding our Heroes to host this Veterans Appreciation Dinner. Providing a forum for non-profits and government agencies to connect directly with and assist veterans will help to ensure they have access to and are aware of all the resources that are available to them.”

    Since 2021, Feeding our Heroes, has fed thousands of veterans using several different programs that have supported first responders through disaster relief. Feeding Our Heroes’ mission is to celebrate our local heroes, salute our military personnel and veterans and improve awareness around food insecurity in the community. The organization has a mission to celebrate local heroes, salute our military personnel and veterans and improve awareness around food insecurity in the community.

    The Burlington County Veterans Appreciation Dinner. The Dinner will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at 5:00 p.m. at the Delran VFW Post 3020 , 1125 S. Fairview Street .  Seating is limited.

    During the Appreciation Dinner, veterans will enjoy a meal together as well as have access to resources available for veterans and active duty military members.  Agencies attending the event are: Virtua Health, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Cooper-Deborah HeroCare Connect, Burlington County Veteran Services and Human Services, Garden State Community Outreach, as well as other non-profits.

    Additionally, help will be available for attendees to apply for the New Jersey Division of Taxation with filing their Anchor property tax benefit as well as receive information about the Senior Freeze program.
