Fanwood Environmental Commission Announces Winners of Great Birdhouse Contest

FANWOOD, NJ – The Fanwood Environmental Commission has announced the winners of its Great Birdhouse Contest. First, second, and third place prizes were awarded for the children’s category and one prize was given for the adult category.

The Children’s winners are:

• 1st prize: "Home Tweet Home," made by Emma Yegelwel.
• 2nd prize: "Fanwood Condo's" made by a group of six during a birthday party:  Nali Foster, Evie Papernik, Benson Jensrek, Dempsey Jenskrek, Amelia Schneder, and Cecilia Bryce.
• 3rd prize: "Sparrow Manor," made by Chaya Senthilvelan.

The Adult winner is: "The Nesting Place," made by Anna-Marie Chimento and Frank Chimento (a father/daughter team). The birdhouses are on display at the Fanwood Memorial Library until Saturday, October 12, then they will be on display for "Youth Day" at the Fanwood Nature Center.
