    Knolls loses in Battle for First Place

    DENVILLE, NJ – Mishel Kurt scored the only goal of the game as Morris Knolls lost a 1-0 decision to Mount Olive in a high school field hockey battle played at Knolls between the two leaders in the North Jersey Athletic Conference’s National Division.

    The loss was the first of the season in the division for the Lady Eagles while Mount Olive remained unbeaten in division play. Knolls is 5-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in division play while Mount Olive is 7-1 overall and leads the division with a 6-0 mark.

    The defenses for both sides were at their best as Mount Olive was able to get off only three shots on Knolls keeper Emily Hollner and Knolls was held to four shots on Mount Olive netminder Mia Zebi.
