    LIVESTRONG® at the Summit Area YMCA: A Free 12-Week Program for Cancer Survivors

    BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Summit Area YMCA is offering a transformative, no-cost wellness program for adult cancer survivors this fall through its renowned LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA initiative. This 12-week program is designed to help participants rebuild physical strength, increase flexibility, and regain a sense of emotional well-being in a supportive, small-group environment.

    Program Benefits Participants will work alongside specially trained YMCA staff to customize a wellness plan that fits their individual needs. The program aims to:

    • Rebuild muscle mass and strength
    • Increase flexibility and endurance
    • Reduce fatigue
    • Improve confidence and self-esteem

    Dates and Locations The program is hosted at both the Summit YMCA and Berkeley Heights YMCA. Two sessions are available:

    Berkeley Heights Location: October 14 - January 9, Monday and Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM

    Summit Location: September 26 - December 19, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM

    Participants will receive a complimentary 12-week YMCA membership for the duration of the program. Registration and medical clearance from a physician are required.
