West Orange 'Happy Gilmore 2' Extra Shares Her Experience with TAPinto

WEST ORANGE, NJ – People around New Jersey have had Adam Sandler sightings as he makes his way around the state filming Happy Gilmore 2 in various towns. TAPinto West Orange spoke to one of the lucky extras who spent Tuesday, September 24 at the Montclair Country Club with Sandler, the cast, the crew and 499 other extras.

Corrine Gershberg reported, “We filmed two scenes, and he was on and off set the entire time. There were about 500 extras there in total. I wasn’t able to get any pictures, because they had us put stickers on the camera parts of our phones.”

She said the extras arrived at 6:15-6:30 a.m., and shooting started around 7:30-8:00 a.m. The filming ended at 6:45 p.m.

“This was such an incredible experience. It was so awesome to see Adam Sandler up close!  He was interacting with the extras and giving out fist bumps if you were close enough. He was such a nice, stand-up guy!”

She was very fortunate, because Michael Feldman, a Morristown resident, told TAP that security guards thought he’d be able to take a photo with Sandler and told him to park across the street. He tried to leave after four hours of not seeing Sandler. Then he was unable to move his car because he was blocked in by other Sandler fans’ cars.
