'They're All Winners' at Lake Mohawk Country Club's Dog Show and Parade in Sparta

SPARTA, NJ – The plaza in front of the Lake Mohawk Country Club was the site of the first dog parade on Sunday, September 22. Nearly 80 dogs were all winners, receiving a blue ribbon and squeaky ball as they were paraded by their owners around the oval.

John Hadley was the master of ceremony, announcing each of the dogs with a short biography. The dogs were arranged into seven standard groups including:

• Herding, Working,
• Non-working, Hound,
• Sporting,
• Toy and
• Terrier.

They also had “designer” doodles and poos and the All American Mixed a/k/a Mutts.

The event was sponsored by the Lake Mohawk House Committee, Sparta Pet Shoppe & Spa, Father John’s Animal House, OSCAR and Signs Etc.

Proceeds from the event were split between Father John’s Animal House and OSCAR.
