    Lady Eagles bow to Morristown

    DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls kept it close in the first game only to see Morristown run away with the second game and the match as the Lady Colonials beat the Lady Eagles, 2-0 (25-23, 25-15), in a girls volleyball match at Knolls Friday, Sept. 27.

    Junior Lauren Dunko led Knolls in assists with 11, her second game in double figures; senior Bri Finley had a team-high 11 digs and is now averaging 10.7 digs a game; and junior Olivia Buitrago added nine digs.

    Junior Kristiana Gustavson and Buitrago each finished with six kills and junior Olga Rostek had five kills and four digs.

    The loss dropped Morris Knolls’ season record to 4-7 overall and 1-4 in the North Jersey American Conference’s American Division. Morristown improved to 5-3 overall and leads the NJAC American Division with a 5-0 record, one game better than Sparta and its 4-1 division record.
