Rahway PD Investigating Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Madden Field

RAHWAY, NJ — The Rahway Police Department reported on Saturday, September 28 that it was investigating a multi-vehicle crash near Capobianco Plaza and Leesville Avenue, by Madden Field.

One driver involved in the crash, who struck several cars and who was suspected of driving under the influence, attempted to flee the scene before being held by several residents until police officers arrived.

The Rahway PD reported, “Six individuals with minor injuries are being treated at Rahway Hospital [Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway] . The suspect is in custody and undergoing a medical evaluation.”
