RAHWAY, NJ — It was a nostalgic affair on Friday for many of the Rahway varsity football players, as the team took on North Hunterdon (1-4) at Madden Field. Madden Field is the location for many of the city's youth programs, including Pop Warner and the cheerleading program.

The team regularly plays on its home field at Rahway River Park but decided to switch up the venue last week for old time's sake.

The Indians defeated the North Hunterdon Lions 28-6, extending their record to 4-1.

Rahway quarterback Jaquan Robinson had 39 passing yards in the game.

Andrew Avent, who's been racking up yardage all season, had 167 rushing yards and ten tackles. He had a ten-yard run to put the first numbers on the board.

In the second quarter, Jalen Eastman had a huge interception that he turned into a 48-yard touchdown run.

Rahway's ever-reliable kicker Anthony Lopez went 4-for-4 for the extra points.

Rahway's homecoming game is up next. The Indians host Cranford this Friday, October 4, at 7 p.m., back on the turf at Rahway River Park.
