NJSIAA Girls Tennis Tournament; Madison Advances to Quarterfinals After Shutting Out Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, NJ -  The No. 10 seed Madison girls tennis team defeated No. 7 seed Rutherford in the First Round of the NJSIAANorth Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 Tournament.

The Dodgers upset Rutherford 5-0 on Monday afternoon. Madison will advance to face No. 2 Lenape Valley in the Quarterfinal Round on Tuesday October 8.

During today's match, Kaden Peterson defeated Margaret Turso 6-1, 6-0 in 1st Singles. In 2nd singles, Caroline Bibbee defeated Arrianna Amante 6-2, 6-0. In 3rd singles, Korryn Peterson defeated Angelica Rodriquez Del Busto 6-3, 6-2.

In the doubles match, the team of Katherine Scarpa and Mackenzie Dicson defeated Jeel Kakadia and Felice Hannett while teammates Alexis Maroukian and Sadie Tricarico defeated Lexi Cappello and Beril Yigit.
