    SCORE: Mentoring Services for Small Businesses Available at Somerville Business Hub

    SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Business Partnership has added mentoring services for local business leaders to the newly launched Business Hub under a partnership with SCORE Central New Jersey.

    The new Business Hub, made possible by a grant from the Somerset County Board of Commissioners, serves as the headquarters for the SCBP and as a central resource and meeting place for Somerset County's vibrant and growing small business economy

    .“Small Business are the backbone of this great County” said President of the SCBP, Chris Edwards.  “We have a great opportunity to tap into a great knowledge base with the volunteers of SCORE to help startup and micro businesses.  Having the opportunity for an emerging business to learn from people who have gone through similar situations is an invaluable opportunity.”

    Mentorship sessions will be available to local small business owners on an appointment basis through the Business Hub website ( https://www.scbp.org/ somersetbusinesshub ) starting Monday, Oct 28th for time slots the second and fourth Monday every month. Business owners will be able to tap into the SCORE volunteers decades of business experience with startups, human resources, government regulation and reporting, securing financing for growth, and more. Appointments will be held at the Somerset County Business Hub at 50 Division St. Suite 400, in Somerville, NJ. Funding for the Somerset County Business Hub was made possible through a grant given by the Somerset County Commissioners.  The purpose of the funding was to give small businesses the resources they need to prosper.

Adding SCORE's experienced executive mentors will provide knowledge and experience to help establish and grow small businesses more than ever," said Somerset County Deputy Director Sara Sooy, liaison to the SCBP. "Somerset County is proud to support the Business Partnership and the Hub as it continues to expand into the best resource for business leaders throughout Somerset County."
