HAWTHORNE, NJ - In this season's Kids Newsletter, young environmentalists give readers the skinny on Hawthorne's Community Garden, which has expanded. There will be a celebration of the expansion on October 6, according to councilwoman Rayna Laiosa.

The Hawthorne Community Garden is located at 970 Goffle Road next to the Ambulance Corps Building and the 9-11 Memorial site. The community garden site was chosen because of its easy access to the community in terms of location and resources.
